Senior Adults Ministry of UCC

a ministry of encouragement, cheer and compassion

"Cast me not off in the time of old age..."  -Psalm 71:9 (KJV)

Do you have a heart for older adults?  Do you want to have a part in a ministry of encouragement?  The Senior Adults Ministry of University Christian Church is a ministry to adults who are retired and/or over age 65 who are unable to participate as fully in the life of the church as they once did -- those older adults who, because of differing situations, often feel isolated and lonely, and perhaps even forgotten by the church.  These individuals are sometimes homebound -- either permanently or temporarily.  We try to reassure them of the church's concern and compassion as we offer encouragement and cheer through sending cards, making phone calls, visiting, providing communion to those who request it, providing transportation in some situations, assisting caregivers as we are able, and providing occasional meals.
