UCC Policies for Weddings and Receptions
April 2008 revision
We welcome weddings and receptions in our church. We will work with you to insure your special
day is indeed a special one. Being aware
of arrangements and requirements of UCC will help this happen. The following is information you need. Please read it carefully. If you have questions, please call or e-mail
Linda Goddard, wedding facilitator.
SCHEDULING
Many different groups use our facilities. Therefore, scheduling comes on a first come,
first served basis.
Facilities will not be reserved until you have consulted with
the wedding facilitator AND one of the following ministerial staff
members: Ryan Hayden, senior minister;
David Pape, associate minister; Josh
Nelson, youth minister or Ron Brown, connectons and college minister.
Arrangements for receptions should be made through the
committee as early as possible after the date is placed on the church
calendar. Contact Linda Goddard.
Arrangements for a key to the building can be made with the
wedding facilitator the week of the event.
The key must be returned within 24 hours after the wedding or reception
or on the first weekday following the event.
DRESSING ROOMS
The bride’s party dressing room is room 115, and the groom’s party dressing room is room 110. Room 113 is available for food and snacks throughout the day. Please provide a multi-plug surge protector for the women’s bathroom and the bride’s room if using several electrical items. It is your responsibility to clean these two rooms after the wedding. Please DO NOT LEAVE PURSES UNATTENDED DURING THE WEDDING OR RECEPTION. University Christian Church will NOT be responsible for lost or stolen items.
MOVING CHURCH FUNISHINGS
It is possible for you to move some of the church
furnishings in the sanctuary to accommodate your service, if you:
-
Obtain permission
to move these items.
-
Agree to return anything moved to its original
location immediately after your wedding.
MOVING OF THE PIANO OR ORGAN IS NOT ALLOWED. NOTHING MAY BE PLACED ON THE ORGAN OR PIANO.

beverages on church property. The use of
tobacco products may only occur 30 ft. away from the outside of the church
buildings.
