registration starting noon, Stagg Hill Golf Course
Do you enjoy golfing and wish to support Manhattan area youth? If so,
Manhattan Young Life, a non-denominational Christian organization with
a mission of reaching the youth of Manhattan for Christ, is holding a
benefit golf tournament May 8, 2008 at Stagg Hill Golf Course.
The festivities begin with registration at noon followed by lunch at
12:30 p.m. The tournament is a 4-person scramble with a shotgun start
at 1:15 p.m. After the tournament there will be a golf ball drop with
a chance to win a Toshiba 37" Regza LCD HDTV Flat Screen television
(valued at $1300). Registration fee for the tournament is $150 per
golfer. A suggested donation of $20 for the golf ball drop gives you a
chance to have your numbered golf ball dropped from a cherry picker
and, if it ends up in the hole or closest to the hole, you win the TV.
To enter your team in the tournament or "purchase" a golf ball, please
call the Young Life office at 785.539.6338, or speak directly with Mike
Sheffield or Luke Feather.
“Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” (Ephesians 5:1-2)
