Josh Nelson grew up in the small farming community of Washington, KS. In 2003, Josh graduated from Manhattan Christian College with a degree in Bible/Education Ministry and a minor in Youth Ministry. His wife Amy grew up in Tonganoxie, KS, and also graduated from Manhattan Christian College in 2002 with a degree in Bible/Family Ministry. Josh and Amy have been married for 9 years and have a 3-year-old son named Micah and a 3-month-old son named Jonathan. They have been in Youth Ministry for seven years.
Josh played basketball at MCC and then was an assistant coach for three years after his eligibility ran out. He was an assistant football coach for Mike Beam at Rock Creek High School for four years. He is currently an assistant coach for freshmen men’s basketball at Manhattan High School.
Josh was also a geography major at Kansas State University. He enjoys Far Side comics, movies, traveling and reading. Some of his favorite authors are Tom Clancy, J.R.R. Tolkien and Stephen Lawhead. |
